Our Lead Teacher and Our Principal

Dena Schmidt,
Lead Teacher

Mrs. Schmidt and her family are residents of Princeton, and have been for many years. She taught for several years at the Junior/Senior High School, she coached several athletic teams, and she is a past Board member. Mrs. Schmidt is a mentor teacher and has assumed several leadership roles during her tenure in Princeton.

At the beginning of the 2000-10 school year Mrs. Schmidt transferred from the high school to the elementary where she teaches sixth grade and serves as the schools lead teacher. Under her direction and leadership she will assist in the day to day operations of Princeton Elementary School, and under her guidance the district will begin a new K-8 reading program in the fall of 2010.

John S. Greene,
Principal

John Greene, Princeton Joint Unified School District Superintendent, serves also as the Principal of all district schools. Dr. Greene comes to the district with a wide range of educational experiences including teaching, counseling, coaching, and school management. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California, Past Region 1 President of the Association of California School Administrator, and has chaired several WASC Visitations. He and his family hail from Anderson and currently reside in Chico.
