Today, Miss Munoz’s class plunged into the fascinating world of science with a gooey and sticky favorite….SLIME!! 🎉 The excitement was off the charts as we learned all about what makes slime stick together and stretch like magic. Then, the real fun began—mixing in orange food coloring, glitter, and a sprinkle of pumpkin spice to create our ver own Pumpkin Latte Slime!! 🎃🍂🍁✨ The room smelled amazing, and our slime was sparkling just like fall!! What a slimy, sensational, science filled day!

Our TK-K class had the exciting opportunity to visit our local fire department for Fire Safety Week! The children learned important safety lessons, including how to call 911, create a safety plan, and the “stop, drop, and roll” technique. They were also taught to test doors for heat before touching the handle in case of a fire. During the visit, the kids got to practice crawling through a building, spray a fire hose, sit in the driver’s seat of the fire truck, and see how heavy the firefighting gear is—all while having a blast! A huge thank you to our local volunteer firefighters for putting on such a fun and educational field trip for us!

Miss Munoz’s 1st and 2nd graders dove into the fascinating world of density!! The class learned how different liquids have their own special “weight” and how they interact with each other. To make the lesson even more exciting, they got hands-on with a fun STEM activity, where they layered different liquids and watched density work its magic right before their eyes. They kids were amazed as they saw some liquids float to the top while other sank to the bottom, sparking lots of curiosity and “Wow” moments! What a fun and scientific day!👩🏻‍🔬🫧 🧪

Our Junior High PE class used this week to start prepping for the national fitness test. All prep done through the year will be in the form of different activities. On Monday, their activity was “Shadow Running”, where students hold on to a jump rope and lead each other around the course. Once students get to the next marker, the other pair waiting starts running. This activity helps students find their and their partners’ pace. It will be VERY beneficial when students test for the mile.
