Miss Stegall’s class has been learning about the structure bridges! To finish this unit, they tested and built different bridges to see if they were sturdy enough to hold a tennis ball.

Our TK-K class had the exciting opportunity to visit our local fire department for Fire Safety Week! The children learned important safety lessons, including how to call 911, create a safety plan, and the “stop, drop, and roll” technique. They were also taught to test doors for heat before touching the handle in case of a fire.
During the visit, the kids got to practice crawling through a building, spray a fire hose, sit in the driver’s seat of the fire truck, and see how heavy the firefighting gear is—all while having a blast! A huge thank you to our local volunteer firefighters for putting on such a fun and educational field trip for us!

Today, the Home Ec class embarked on a delicious journey through Italy! We savored everything from crispy almond cookies to rich hazelnut chocolates and even tasted bruschetta tarts made with vibrant pesto and basil. Our taste buds were in paradise! We can't wait to see where our next culinary adventure takes us next month!

1st and 2nd grade had a blast at our local Princeton fire department. They learned fire safety and the importance of having an action plan in case of a fire. Thank you to all our volunteer firefighters 🚒 who help put this event on every year for us!

Miss Munoz’s 1st and 2nd graders dove into the fascinating world of density!! The class learned how different liquids have their own special “weight” and how they interact with each other. To make the lesson even more exciting, they got hands-on with a fun STEM activity, where they layered different liquids and watched density work its magic right before their eyes. They kids were amazed as they saw some liquids float to the top while other sank to the bottom, sparking lots of curiosity and “Wow” moments! What a fun and scientific day!👩🏻🔬🫧 🧪

The students learned so much about fire safety and got to see some real-life firefighting equipment in action—all while having fun! Huge thanks to the Princeton Fire Department for hosting us and giving the kids such a memorable experience!

📢 Reminder: There will be no school on Monday, October 14th. 🎉 Enjoy the long weekend, stay safe, and we’ll see everyone back in class on Tuesday, October 15th!

Our Junior High PE class used this week to start prepping for the national fitness test. All prep done through the year will be in the form of different activities.
On Monday, their activity was “Shadow Running”, where students hold on to a jump rope and lead each other around the course. Once students get to the next marker, the other pair waiting starts running.
This activity helps students find their and their partners’ pace. It will be VERY beneficial when students test for the mile.

Our Home Ec class worked hard to prepare these delicious muffins and danishes for our Career Day presenters! Huge thanks to Ms. Holly and all the students for your dedication and amazing baking skills! 🧁🥐

Guess what?! Pre-k through 2nd came together for an AMAZING Book Break! We had the chance to join author and illustrator Yuyi Morales on Zoom as she shared her incredible Caldecott Honor book Viva Frida! The students were absolutely thrilled to do a directed draw of a Señor Skeleton with Yuyi herself, and they showed off their creativity in the most fantastic ways! It was such a fun and inspiring time for everyone! 🎨📚#bookbreak4schools
